In a review of the ring’s mechanics done by SimulationCraft developer Kojiyama, they noticed that the supposedly auto-attack ring from Court of Stars, Jeweled Signet of Melandrus, is currently increasing damage from abilities and effects that scale with weapon damage.
Basically the short version is that it behaves now as if base weapon damage is being modified, not just AA damage.
