Along with information about what players can expect from the upcoming Early Access and Open Beta weekends (March 17-19 and 24-26, respectively), the March 6th Twitter Developer Q&A also gave information about one of the central class mechanics that will be available for Druids in Diablo IV: Spirit Animals.
This class mechanic will not be available in Open Beta, even though the Druid class will be playable then.
