Diablo IV’s Early Access Weekend was an insane success – over 1 million players reached level 20 during the weekend, and many more than that experienced Sanctuary for the first time. The sheer volume of players was made possible, however, in no small part due to the KFC Double Down promotion that allowed players to effectively purchase Early Access by buying a Double Down sandwich.
Naturally, this led to a massive influx of players – and a massive influx of memes.
