We’re speculating about when Patch 10.2 will release and the most likely release date right now is November 7.
Patch 10.1 release coincided with Turbulent Timeways when the event was available last time. Specifically, Embers of Neltharion launched during Timewalking Week 5 and the Season started one week after.
If the same was bound to happen with 10.2, the patch would come out on October 31 with the fifth week of Timewalking and Season 3 would start on November 7, but that’s very unlikely to happen due to BlizzCon which takes place during November 3-4.
Now, people need to travel to and from BlizzCon. Many top raiders will be attending the event and it wouldn’t make sense for Blizzard to open raids around BlizzCon. To give everyone including the developers some breathing room, the most likely release date for the patch is November 7 with Season 3 beginning on November 14. That way, Race to World First should finish before Thanksgiving.
