Blizzard is bringing back the effects of powerful weapons from the past including Frostmourne, Sulfurus, or Thunderfury, through trinkets in Patch 10.1.5.
The trinkets can be obtained in Time Rifts or purchased from Time Rift vendors with Paracausal Flakes, the Time Rift currency.
Paracausal Fragment Trinkets
There are 7 trinkets that inherit powerful weapon effects after the Warglaives of Azzinoth, Shalamayne/Doomhammer, Frostmourne, Seschenal, Sulfuras, Thunderfury, and Val’anyr.
The trinkets follow the “Veteran upgrade track” and start at item level 402 and can be upgraded up to item level 424.
Paracausal Fragment of Azzinoth
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Azzinoth Your harmful spells and abilities have a chance to manifest a fel elemental by your side for 12 sec, periodically dealing 6,956 Fire damage to your target and increasing your Haste by 1,237.
Paracausal Fragment of Shalamayne (Alliance)
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Doomhammer – Your melee attacks and abilities have a chance to Kingstrike your target, dealing 8,729 Holy damage.
On-Use Effect: Warstrikes – Let loose a five-hit combo upon your current target dealing a total of 105,680 Physical damage and unleashing a Kingstrike with each blow. (1.5 sec cast, 1.5 min cooldown, 6 yd range)
Paracausal Fragment of Doomhammer (Horde)
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Doomhammer – Your melee attacks and abilities have a chance to Kingstrike your target, dealing 8,729 Holy damage.
On-Use Effect: Warstrikes – Let loose a five-hit combo upon your current target dealing a total of 105,680 Physical damage and unleashing a Kingstrike with each blow. (1.5 sec cast, 1.5 min cooldown, 6 yd range)
Paracausal Fragment of Frostmourne
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Frostmourne Nearby player and enemy deaths grant you a Lost Soul, up to 10.
On-Use Effect: Incarnate Death – Let the power of the Scourge course through and corrupt you, consuming all Lost Souls. This effect can differ based on your Specialization. (2 sec cast, 2.5 min cooldown)
Paracausal Fragment of Seschenal
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Seschenal – Your healing has a low chance to manifest a Sapling of Life near your target’s location that periodically restores 10,550 health split between you and all allies in your party for 15 sec. As the Sapling gives, its life slowly fades. Healing the Sapling of Life extends its duration up to 30 sec. (Instant, 2 min cooldown, 25 yd range)
Paracausal Fragment of Sulfuras
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Sulfuras – Your melee swings have a chance to deal 9,109 additional Fire damage. Your harmful melee abilities have a chance to make the Fragment erupt, dealing 7,590 Fire damage split between all nearby enemies. The Fragment also has a chance to react to your damage taken, counterattacking for 9,109 Fire damage.
Paracausal Fragment of Thunderfin, Humid Blade of the Tideseeker
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Thunderfin, Humid Blade of the Tideseeker – Your harmful spells and abilities have a chance to conjure a cyclone at your current target’s location. The cyclone follows the initial target dealing 24,250 Nature damage over 10 sec split between all enemies. While inside the cyclone, enemies become Lightning Conduits. Dealing damage to a Lightning Conduit has a high chance to unleash a bolt of forked lighting, dealing 7,028 Nature damage split between them and up to 4 additional nearby targets.
Paracausal Fragment of Val’anyr
Effect: Paracausal Fragment of Val’anyr – Your healing spells have a chance to grant you Blessing of Eternal Kings for 15 sec, allowing your heals to shield the target up to ten times for 10,128 damage. The shield lasts for 8 sec.
