Time Rifts are a new world event taking place every hour in Patch 10.1.5. Check out our latest post to learn all about it.
Time Rifts 101
Time Rifts will be up every hour and last for about 15 minutes.
They consist of two stages.
Stage 1 revolves around completing various activities and mini-puzzles and filling the Temporal Essence bar to 7,500. Every 2,500 Temporal Essence, you will receive a bag (green/blue/epic) that contains Paracausal Flakes, the event’s currency and gold. This phase lasts for 9 minutes.
Stage 2 takes place in an alternate reality of Azeroth. In total, you can visit up to 7 alternate realities. The goal here is to defeat bosses to complete a Time Rift.
Every alternate reality has a pool of items tied to it. Alternatively, you can buy the same items from the vendors that are conveniently stacked at Tyrhold Reservoir.
You can complete Time Rifts as many times as you would like, there’s no cap on Paracausal Flakes one can earn.
If you do not plan on doing that, you should complete them at least once per week for the weekly quest rewards.
The vendors include one vendor that sells item level 402 catch-up gear and 7 vendors selling a variety of cosmetics, mounts, and battle pets, for Paracausal Flakes.
A Soridormi reputation grind is tied to Time Rifts. There are 5 Friendship ranks and you will need to accrue a total of 42,000 reputation. With each rank, you will receive a quest which rewards Paracausal Flakes and toys / other items.
You can buy Ragnaros’ shoulders (Pauldrons of the Fire Lord) from one of the vendors!
