Players have spotted three familiar faces in Ohn’ahran Plains on live servers!
While the three NPCs are named “Unknown”, they look like Malfurion, Tyrande, and Ysera.
During Dragonflight testing, we’ve datamined some interesting dialogue between all three. You can read it below. It contains spoilers.
The Green Dragonflight needs to bring back Ysera. Malfurion decides to swap places with her in Ardenweald.
Tyrande Whisperwind: Ysera, your flight needs you.
Tyrande Whisperwind: We need you.
Tyrande Whisperwind: Whatever the price may be for your return to Azeroth, name it.
Malfurion: Tyrande…
Malfurion: Ohn…ahra… I am sorry.
Tyrande Whisperwind: Tell us!
Malfurion: It’s me.
Malfurion: I must be the one to stay.
Tyrande Whisperwind: What?
Malfurion: Ysera knows this — though she would never ask it of me.
Tyrande Whisperwind: No.
Tyrande Whisperwind: Pathetic.
Tyrande Whisperwind: We will find another way.
Malfurion Stormrage: When she gave her life for mine in Val’sharah, it was not her time.
Malfurion Stormrage: And now… the balance may be restored.
Tyrande Whisperwind: Then… then I will stay as well.

We currently do not know when the questline will be enabled on live servers, but it appears to be encrypted for now.
