The Home World Transfer service, which provides the service of moving your character to another server, was temporarily disabled on June 27th with the introduction of Data Center travel and other technological functions.
Changing home servers is a relatively frequent thing among many FFXIV players, depending on where friends are playing and FCs joined. Today, July 19th, the function has been restored and players can once again transfer to a different server.

The temporarily suspended Home World Transfer Service was resumed on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 12:00 a.m. (PDT)
At the same time, the Home World Transfer Service is now available free of charge in regards with the Japanese data center expansion
