A hole in the ground allowed Rextroy to get under the Dragon isles. However, the disconnection fields were too much, as his character ended up stuck in an endless loop of disconnects.
Background:
This buggy location was found by Kaarani – Outland when she was out herbing. At first, we thought it was her PC lagging into the ground, but after visiting the location I realized that it was something wrong with the in-game location…
Both I and my friend Panic ventured into this new location to explore it, however, we were quickly overcome by the dangerous disconnection fields of the Dragon Isles…
We needed reinforcements quickly! And got my friend Hansson and Voxygen to join us.
Hansson pointed out that the issue with the entrance is that the cave is above the ground, so there is a little hole you can enter with your character, to instantly bug under the ground!…
We spotted a mysterious egg, which was outside of the boundaries… And we set out to reach it!
After losing some characters, it was thanks to Voxygens failure, that gave us hope to actually reach it.
He died by fall damage, but when he was dead we realized that he could keep DCing and not get stuck in an endless disconnection loop, because you won’t fall once you log back in (you will remain mounted on your ghostly dragon)
So then we kept pushing closer to the egg until we reached it!…
Of course, it was simply an egg and nothing too special.
Another really odd thing we saw under the ground, was corpses falling through the world. This happened quite frequently (every 30 seconds) and they were friendly. even if they were supposed to be hostile if you haven’t done a quest with them (at least according to Voxygen!)
It is quite weird… but probably just a bugged spawn location for them…
We tried to reach further into the Dragon Isles but sadly the disconnection field was too much, so we couldn’t get far…
After 3-4 days of trying to log back into my DK, I gave up and had the Blizzard unstuck service help me out… You win this time Blizzard! (I will bring a potion of Deepholm next time)
