Final Fantasy XIV is ending its Endwalker expansion with a bang. Patch 6.5, Growing Light, will bring new quests, raids, dungeons, trials, and more!
Final Fantasy XIV is getting ready for its next major expansion, Dawntrail, which will be released in 2024. Dawntrail will take players to new islands and cultures, where they will encounter new challenges and mysteries. It will also introduce new jobs, areas, and more.
But before we embark on this new journey, we have one more update to enjoy in Endwalker: patch 6.5 – Growing Light. The first part of the patch will go live early October 2023. The official website for patch 6.5 went live today, giving us a glimpse of what to expect in the final chapter of the current expansion.
New Main Content
Patch 6.5 will feature lots of exciting content for players to explore and experience, such as:
New Main Scenario Quests: The story of Endwalker will reach its climax in patch 6.5. From what we know so far, it seems to involve Ryne and Zero.
New Alliance Raid: The third and final part of the Myth of the Realm series, will be added in patch 6.5. The alliance raid is called Thaleia and will challenge players with new enemies, mechanics, and rewards.
New Dungeon: A new dungeon, called The Lunar Subterrane, will be added in patch 6.5, which seems to have a particular scenery.
New Trial: A new trial featuring a mysterious foe known as The Abyssal Fracture will be added in patch 6.5. The trial will have both normal and extreme difficulty modes, and will reward players with new weapons and accessories.
New Features and Updates
Besides the main content, patch 6.5 will also include some additional features and updates, such as:
Xbox Beta Version: Final Fantasy XIV will finally be available for Xbox players in patch 6.5, as a beta version of the game will be launched for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Xbox players will be able to join the same servers and play with other players across different platforms.
Island Sanctuary Updates: The island sanctuary will receive some updates in patch 6.5, such as new animals, crops, buildings, and activities. Players will be able to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful life on their own island or visit other players’ islands.
New Mounts and Accessories: As usual, patch 6.5 will also add new cosmetic items for players to collect and enjoy.
And much more: Patch 6.5 will also include some other features and updates, such as new hairstyles, emotes, achievements, titles, recipes, items, balance changes, bug fixes, and more.
