Echo, the esports team, faces Final Fantasy XIV’s Omega Protocol Ultimate. Watch them live and see if they can beat the hardest raid ever!
FF14 is constantly updated with new content and challenges for players to enjoy, such as raids, dungeons, trials, quests, and more. One of the most difficult and rewarding activities in Final Fantasy XIV are the ultimate raids, which test the skills and coordination of the most elite players in a grueling battle against a formidable foe.
The Esports gaming organization named Echo, founded in 2020 by some of the most successful World of Warcraft players, has decided to take on one of these raids: Omega Protocol Ultimate. This is the name given to the final encounter of Omega-M and Omega-F, two powerful entities that were created by Omega, a mysterious machine that sought to test the limits of life.
Official Tweet:
Omega Protocol Ultimate was released in Patch 6.3: God’s Revel, Lands Tremble, as part of the Omega raid series from Stormblood, one of the previous expansions of Final Fantasy XIV.
To unlock this ultimate raid, players must have completed the main story of Endwalker and the latest and final expansion of Final Fantasy XIV, as well as the Raid Abyssos: The Eight Circle (Savage). After meeting these requirements, players can talk with the Wandering Minstrel in Sharlayan. Any party that defeats Omega Protocol will be rewarded with some of the best looking weapons in the game!

The battle against Omega consists of six phases, each with different patterns and strategies to overcome. The arena is surrounded by a border that will kill any player who touches it, and failing mechanics or being hit by avoidable AoEs is usually lethal. The fight has a time limit of 120 minutes, and any mistake can result in a wipe.
The Echo team is well-known for its achievements in World of Warcraft, such as being world first in Vault of the Incarnates. Echo is not new to Final Fantasy XIV, as the team has already cleared some of the previous ultimate raids, such as The Unending Coil of Bahamut (Ultimate) and The Weapon’s Refrain (Ultimate). Now, however, Echo is eager to prove themselves in Omega Protocol Ultimate, and show their skills and teamwork to the Final Fantasy XIV community.
Echo will be live on Twitch this afternoon, starting from 14h CEST. You can check out Echos various channels by following this link, where you can also find respective Twitter accounts and other social media platforms below the thread.
Don’t miss this opportunity to witness history in the making, and join the Echo team in their ultimate challenge!
