FFXIV – Celebrate the 10 Years Anniversary With Two Special Events!

Final Fantasy XIV is about to mark its 10th anniversary since the launch of A Realm Reborn in 2013, and what better way to celebrate than with two amazing events coming back!

The Rising event and the Moogle Treasure Trove event are both returning on August 27, 2023, at 7:00 (GMT)/17:00 (AEST), and will run until the launch of Patch 6.5 in early October. These events will offer players a chance to enjoy some fun activities, earn some fantastic rewards, and commemorate this milestone in the history of this beloved MMORPG.

The Rising Event

The Rising is a famous seasonal event that celebrates the rebirth of Final Fantasy XIV after its initial launch. 

To start the event, players have to take the quest called “Siblings Rising”, from Kipih Jakkya, located in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald ( x:10.1 y:8.7). The warriors of light need to be at least Level 15 to be able to take the quest. Afterwards, all there is to do is follow the quest’s steps, and collect the rewards at the end!

Some of the rewards for completing the Rising event are:

A beautiful Rising Phoenix Whistle that summons a fiery mount inspired by the legendary bird that symbolizes rebirth.

A wall-mounted The Rising Advertisement that displays a poster of the event in your house.

Two Orchestrion Rolls that play music from the event in your house.

Keep in mind, that certain items that were available during previous Rising events, can also be obtained again through the Rising vendor.

The Moogle Treasure Trove Event

The Moogle Treasure Trove event is another popular seasonal event that rewards players with rare items for completing various duties in the game. The event is also known as “the hunt for Tomestones” because players have to collect irregular Tomestones of tenfold pageantry by doing certain activities.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy XIV is hosting a very special Moogle Treasure Trove event, as it will reward players with particularly extravagant prizes.

Here is how to participate in the Moogle Treasure Trove event:

Complete any of the assigned duties that are marked in the duty finder with an icon. These duties include raids, dungeons, and PvP activities that reward different amounts of Tomestones depending on their difficulty.

Collect as many tomestones as you can before the event ends. Progress can be checked in the currency window.

Exchange the Tomestones for various rewards at any Itinerant Moogle located in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X:9.4, Y:11.6), New Gridania (X:12.4, Y:12.1), or Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X:9.6, Y:9.1).

Some of the rewards for exchanging Tomestones are:

The Tyrannosaur Mount that lets you ride a fearsome dinosaur from The Forbidden Land, Eureka Anemos.

The fat Cat Minion that summons a cute fat cat that is very popular amongst players.

Last but not least, please note that the Tomestones can only be obtained during the event period, but players will be able to exchange them for respective rewards until the release of Patch 7.0.
