Blizzard is changing how the Advanced Combat Log is populated ahead of Dragonflight Season 3 to prevent players from using overlays in raids.
People have been creative with overlays for World of Warcraft and Blizzard doesn’t like that. Here’s one showcased on Reddit that draws data from the combat log to create a radar.
To prevent players from using overlays, Blizzard intends to make changes to how the Advanced Combat Log is populated ahead of Season 3, as you can see in the linked blue post.
