Balance
Starfall – Calls down waves of falling stars upon enemies within 40 yds, dealing [ 177.3% 204.3% of Spell Power ] Astral damage over 8 sec.

Feral
Cat’s Curiosity (new talent) – Clearcast abilities generate 15% of their Energy cost.
Guardian
Stampeding Roar renamed to Improved Stampeding Roar.
Evoker
Iridescence (new talent) – Casting an empower spell increases the damage of your next 2 spells of the same color by 15% within 10 sec.
Iridescence: Red – Casting an empower spell increases the damage of your next 2 spells of the same color by 15% within 10 sec.
Iridescence: Blue– Casting an empower spell increases the damage of your next 2 spells of the same color by 15% within 10 sec.
Devastation
Charged Blast renamed to Shattering Star. Cooldown reduced to 15 seconds (was 18).
Exhale a bolt of concentrated power from your mouth for [ 140% of Spell Power ] Spellfrost damage. Azure Strike increases the damage of Charged Blast by 100% for 4 sec, stacking 2 times. [ 150% of Spell Power ] Spellfrost damage that cracks the target’s defenses, increasing the damage they take from you by 20% for 4 sec.
Power Swell – Empower spells increase your Essence regeneration rate by 50%. Lasts 2 sec per empower level for 2 sec.
Tyranny – Fire Breath and Eternity Surge reduce the remaining cooldown of Deep Breath and Dragonrage by 1 sec per empower level. Your damaging critical strikes deal 220% damage instead of the usual 200%.
Arcane Vigor (new talent) – Shattering Star generates 1 Essence.
Catalyze (new talent) – While channeling Disintegrate your Fire Beath on the target deals damage 100% more often.
Focusing Iris (new talent) – Shattering Star’s damage taken effect lasts 2 sec longer.
Inner Radiance (new talent) – Your Living Flame and Emerald Blossom are 30% more effective on yourself.
Might of the Aspects (new talent) – Essence Burst increases the damage of affected spells by 10%.
Onyx Legacy (new talent) – Deep Breath’s cooldown is reduced by 1 min.
Preservation
Temporal Anomaly – Mana cost reduced to 11.5% of Base Mana (was 13%).
PvP Talents
Obsidian Mettle – While Obsidian Scales grants is active you gain immunity to interrupt, silence, and pushback effects.
Hunter
Beast Mastery / Marksmanship
Bombardment (new talent) – Every 6 Arcane Shots or Chimaera Shots grants you the Bombardment effect, causing your next Multi-Shot to grant Trick Shots, regardless of how many targets were hit.
Beast Mastery
Beast Cleave – After you Multi-Shot, your pet’s melee attacks also strike all nearby enemies for 100% 35% as much for the next 4 3.0 sec. Deals reduced damage beyond 8 targets.
Bloody Frenzy (new talent) – Barbed Shot has a 15% chance to apply a second stack of Frenzy.
Marksmanship
Unerring Vision (new talent) – While Trueshot is active you gain 1% critical strike chance and 2% increased critical damage dealt every 1 sec, stacking up to 10 times.
Survival
Raptor Strike – A vicious slash dealing [ 126.5% 145% of Attack Power ] Physical damage.
Kill Command – Give the command to kill, causing your pet to savagely deal [ 72.5% 83% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to the enemy. Has a 8% 25% chance to immediately reset its cooldown.
Predator – Kill Command has a 8% 25% chance to immediately reset its cooldown.
Mongoose Bite – A brutal attack that deals [ 113.9% 131% of Attack Power ] Physical damage and grants you Mongoose Fury.
In addition to the changes listed above, Blizzard also outlined more Hunter changes for the next Alpha build.
Mage
Hyper Impact (new talent) – Successfully interrupting an enemy with Counterspell casts Supernova at their location. This effect can only occur once every 45 sec.
Supernova – Pulses arcane energy around the target enemy or ally, dealing [ 30% of Spell Power ] Arcane damage to all enemies within 8 yards, and knocking them upward. A primary enemy target will take 100% increased damage.
Energized Barriers (new talent) – When your barrier receives melee attacks, you have a 6% chance to be granted Clearcasting (Arcane) / 1 Fire Blast Charge (Fire) / Fingers of Frost (Frost). Casting your barrier has a 100% chance to remove all snare effects.
Temporal Warp (new talent) – While you have Temporal Displacement or other similar effects, you may use Time Warp to grant yourself 30% Haste for 40 sec.
Frost
Cone of Cold – Targets in a cone in front of you take [ 37.5% of Spell Power ] Frost damage and have movement slowed by 50% 70% for 5 sec.
Deep Shatter (new talent) – Your Frostbolt deals 40% additional damage to Frozen targets.
Freezing Cold (new talent) – Enemies hit by Cone of Cold are frozen in place for 4 seconds. Your spells will not break this effect.
Monk
Bonedust Brew (Covenant Ability) returns as a talent. Hurl a brew created from the bones of your enemies at the ground, coating all targets struck for 10 sec. Your abilities have a 50% chance to affect the target a second time at 40% effectiveness as Shadow damage or healing.
Brewmaster: Tiger Palm and Keg Smash reduces the cooldown of your brews by an additional 1 sec when striking enemies with your Bonedust Brew active.
Windwalker: Spinning Crane Kick refunds 1 Chi when striking enemies with your Bonedust Brew active.
Mistweaver: Gust of Mists heals targets with your Bonedust Brew active for an additional [ 42% of Attack Power ].
Brewmaster
Test Breath Max_A (new talent) – Breathe fire on targets in front of you, causing [ 38.4% of Attack Power ] Fire damage. Deals reduced damage to secondary targets. Targets affected by Keg Smash will also burn, taking [ 26.64% of Attack Power ] Fire damage and dealing 5% reduced damage to you for 12 sec.
Windwalker
Spinning Crane Kick‘s healing and damage decreased by 5%.
PvP Talents
Healing Sphere (new PvP talent) – Child of Ohn’ahra creates a Healing Sphere. If allies walk through it, they consume the sphere, healing themselves for [ 140% of Spell Power ] and dispelled of all harmful periodic magic effects. (Instant, 3 charges, Costs 1.9% of Base Mana, 40 yd range, 15 sec recharge)
Paladin
Baseline
Judgment – Judges the target, dealing [ 63.4% 95.1% of Spell Power ] Holy damage, and causing them to take 25% increased damage from your next Holy Power ability.
Divine Steed cooldown reduced to 45 seconds (down from 60).
Divine Resonance (new talent) – After casting Divine Toll, you instantly cast Avenger’s Shield (Protection), Holy Shock (Holy), Judgment (Retribution) every 6 sec. This effect lasts 15 sec.
Holy
Inner Light (new talent) – When Shield of the Righteous expires, gain 10% block chance and deal [ 10% of Attack Power ] Holy damage to all attackers for 4 sec.
Protection
Grand Crusader – When you avoid a melee attack or use Hammer of the Righteous, Crusader Strike, you have a 15% chance to reset the remaining cooldown on Avenger’s Shield.
Aegis of Light – Armor increased by 10%. 15%.
Spell Block (new talent) – Your block chance is increased by 20%, you are able to block spells, and your successful blocks deal [ 9.83% of Attack Power ] Holy damage to your attacker.
Bulwark of Righteous Fury (new talent) – Avenger’s Shield increases the damage of your next Shield of the Righteous by 30% for each target hit by Avenger’s Shield, stacking up to 5 times, and increases its radius by 6 yds.
Avenging Wrath – Call upon the light to become an avatar of retribution, and activating all the effects learned for Avenging Wrath.
Hammer of Wrath: Call upon the Light to become an avatar of retribution, allowing Hammer of Wrath to be used on any target, and activating all the effects learned for Avenging Wrath for 20 sec.
Avenging Wrath: Might – Call upon the Light to become an avatar of retribution, increasing your critical strike chance by 0% for 20 sec.
Avenging Wrath: Call upon the Light to become an avatar of retribution, increasing your damage and healing by 0% for 20 sec.
Holy Shield – Your block chance is increased by 15%, 20%, you are able to block spells, and your successful blocks deal [ 9.83% of Attack Power ] Holy damage to your attacker.
Retribution
Righteous Protector – Each Holy Power spent reduces the remaining cooldown on Avenging Wrath and Guardian of Ancient Kings by 1 [ 5 / 10.1 ] sec.
Crusade cooldown increased to 3 minutes (was 2).
Priest
Discipline/Shadow
Mind Sear – Corrosive shadow energy radiates from the target, dealing [ 75.6% 98.3% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage over 4.5 sec to all enemies within 10 yards of the target.
Shadow
Searing Nightmare – Instantly deals [ 43% 49.45% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage to enemies around the target and afflicts them with Shadow Word: Pain. If the enemy is already afflicted by your Shadow Word: Pain, Searing Nightmare’s damage is increased by 100%.
Shadow Crash – Hurl a bolt of slow-moving Shadow energy at the destination, dealing [ 153% 191.25% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage to all targets within 8 yards.
Rogue
Baseline
Ambush – Ambush the target, causing [ 95.47% of Attack Power ] Physical damage. Awards 2 combo points. (Instant, 100 yd range)
Vanish – 2 min cooldown changed to recharge.
Finality: Eviscerate (new talent) – Eviscerate, Rupture, and Black Powder increase the damage of your next use of the finishing move by 25%.
Finality: Black Powder (new talent) – Eviscerate, Rupture, and Black Powder increase the damage of your next use of the finishing move by 25%.
Finality: Rupture (new talent) – Eviscerate, Rupture, and Black Powder increase the damage of your next use of the finishing move by 25%.
Assassination
Audacity – Exploits the vulnerability of foes with less than 35% health, dealing [ 60% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to the target. Mutilate has a 25% chance to make your next Blindside free and usable on any target, regardless of their health. Awards 1 combo points.
Outlaw
Blade Flurry – Blade Flurry now instantly strikes up to 5 8 nearby targets for [ 40% of Attack Power ] Physical damage.
Blade Flurry – Strikes up to 5 nearby targets for [ 40% of Attack Power ] Physical damage, and causes your single target attacks to also strike up to 4 additional nearby enemies for 50% of normal damage for 10 sec.
Dancing Steel [NYI] renamed to Dancing Steel.
Dispatcher (new talent) – Dispatch deals 5% increased damage and costs 5% less Energy, stacking up to 7 times.
Greenskin’s Wickers (new talent) – Between the Eyes has a 20% chance per Combo Point to increase the damage of your next Pistol Shot by 300%.
Subtlety
Lingering Shadow (new talent) – After Shadow Dance ends, Backstab deals an additional 50% damage as Shadow, fading by 0.4% per sec.
Take ’em by Surprise (new talent) – Haste increased by 10% while Stealthed and for 12 sec after leaving Stealth.
Cloaked in Shadows (new talent) – Entering Stealth cloaks you in shadows, absorbing 15.0% of your maximum health in damage for 4 sec.
Fade to Nothing (new talent) – Gaining Stealth, Vanish, or Shroud of Concealment increases movement speed by 10% for 10 sec.
Shaman
All Specs
Wind Rush Totem – Summons a totem at the target location for 15 sec, continually granting all allies who pass within 10 yards 60% 40% increased movement speed for 5 sec.
Elemental
Fire Elemental – While the Fire Elemental is active, Flame Shock deals damage 33% faster, and newly applied Flame Shocks last 100% 200% longer.
Surge of Power – Your next cast will cause an additional 1-3 2 Elemental Overloads.
Flow of Power (new talent) – Increases the Maelstrom generated by Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst by 2, and their Elemental Overloads by 1.
Heat Wave [NYI] (new talent) – Casting Primordial Wave triggers Lava Surge immediately and every 3 sec for 12 sec.
Rolling Magma (new talent) – Lava Burst and Lava Burst Overload damage reduces the cooldown of Primordial Wave by 0.5 sec.
Restoration
Graceful Spirit – Reduces the cooldown of Spiritwalker’s Grace by 60 30 sec and increases your movement speed by 20% while it is active.
Warlock
We’ve datamined a bunch of new Warlock talents that will be added next week on the Dragonflight Alpha.
Fel Commando – Your Felguard deals 10% more damage and takes 10% less damage.
Quick Fiends – Reduces the cooldown of Fel Domination by 30 sec.
Fel Armor – When Soul Leech absorbs damage, 10% of damage take is absorbed and spread out over 5 sec. Reduces damage taken by 3%.
Carnivorous Stalkers – Your Dreadstalkers’ attacks have a 10% chance to trigger an additional Dreadbite.
Borne of Blood – Hand of Gul’dan has a 15% chance to generate a charge of Demonic Core.
Fel and Steel – Felstorm and Dreadbite deal 20% additional damage.
Soul Cage – Hurl down a Soul Cage that consumes all Tormented Souls you’ve collected, blasting nearby enemies for [ 100% of Spell Power ] Chaos damage every 1 sec for each Tormented Soul consumed. You collect Tormented Souls from each target you kill and occasionally escaped souls you previously collected.
Tormented Soul – Hurl down a Soul Cage that consumes all Tormented Souls you’ve collected, blasting nearby enemies for [ 100% of Spell Power ] Chaos damage every 1 sec for each Tormented Soul consumed. You collect Tormented Souls from each target you kill and occasionally escaped souls you previously collected.
Inquisitor’s Gaze – Filling a Soul Shard causes you to gain an Eye of the Inquisitor, dealing [ 24% of Spell Power ] Chaos damage to your current target over 8 sec.
Hold This For Me – Your Felguard hurls his axe towards the target location, erupting when it lands and dealing [ 10% of Spell Power ] Shadowflame damage every 1 sec for 8 sec to nearby enemies. While unarmed, your Felguard’s basic attacks deal damage to all nearby enemies and attacks 50% faster.

Fiendish Wrath – Your Felguard hurls his axe towards the target location, erupting when it lands and dealing [ 10% of Spell Power ] Shadowflame damage every 1 sec for 8 sec to nearby enemies. While unarmed, your Felguard’s basic attacks deal damage to all nearby enemies and attacks 50% faster.
Hold This For Me – Your Felguard hurls his axe towards the target location, erupting when it lands and dealing [ 10% of Spell Power ] Shadowflame damage every 1 sec for 8 sec to nearby enemies. While unarmed, your Felguard’s basic attacks deal damage to all nearby enemies and attacks 50% faster.
Desperate Power – Drain Life heals for 15% more while below 50% health.
Accrued Vitality – Drain Life heals for 15% of the amount drained over 10 sec.
Demonic Fortitude – You and your primary pet’s Stamina is increased by 6%.
Sweet Souls – Your Healthstone heals you for an additional 10% of your maximum health. Any party or raid member using a Healthstone also heals you for that amount.
Nightmare – When Fear ends, the target is slowed by 30% for 4 sec.
Lifeblood – When you use a Healthstone, gain 7% Leech for 20 sec.
Greater Banish – Increases the duration of Banish by 30 sec. Banish now affects Undead.
Frequent Donor – Reduces the cooldown of Dark Pact by 20 sec.
Ichor of Devils – Dark Pact sacrifices only 5% of your current health for the same shield value.
Demonic Durability – Reduces the cooldown of Unending Resolve by 45 sec.
Decimating Bolt – Hurl bolts of decimating magic at your target, dealing [ 138% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage and increasing the damage of your next 3 Demonbolts/Incinerates/Drain Soul/Shadow Bolts by 100%. Decimating Bolt’s damage, and the bonus to Demonbolt/Incinerate/Drain Soul/Shadow Bolt both increase as your target’s health decreases.
Claw of Endereth – Drain Life now channels 30% faster and restores health 30% faster.
Pandemic Invocation – Refreshing Corruption, Agony, or Siphon Life with less than 5 seconds remaining will deal 0 Shadow damage and has a 6.66% chance to grant you a Soul Shard.
Wrathful Minion – Filling a Soul Shard increases the damage done by your primary pet by 5% for 8 sec.
Demonic Inspiration – Filling a Soul Shard increases the Haste of your primary pet by 5% for 8 sec.
Teachings of the Black Harvest – Your primary pets gain a bonus effect.
Imp: Successful Singe Magic casts grant the target 4% damage reduction for 5 sec.
Voidwalker: Reduces the cooldown of Shadow Bulwark by 30 sec.
Felhunter: Reduces the cooldown of Devour Magic by 5 sec.
Sayaad: Reduces the cooldown of Seduction by 10 sec and causes the target to walk faster towards the demon.
Felguard: Reduces the cooldown of Pursuit by 5 sec and increases its maximum range by 5 yards.
Fel Resilience – Damage taken reduced by 4%.
Baseline
Unending Resolve – Hardens your skin, reducing all damage you take by 20% 25% and granting immunity to interrupt, silence, and pushback effects for 8 sec.
Unending Resolve (Rank 2) renamed to Strength of Will and changed. Unending Resolve now grants immunity to pushback and also reduces 20% additional damage. Unending Resolve reduces damage taken by an additional 15%.
All Specs
Soul Conduit – Every Soul Shard you spend has a 15% 7% chance to be refunded.
Affliction
Corruption renamed to Xavian Teachings and changed. Corruption is now instant cast and instantly deals [ 13.8% Spell Power ] damage.
Unstable Affliction – If dispelled, deals [ 460% 552% of Spell Power ] damage to the dispeller and silences them for 4 sec.
Nightfall – Corruption damage has a chance to cause your next or Drain Soul to deal 50% increased damage. Shadow Bolt is instant cast when affected.
Destruction
Havoc – Marks a target with Havoc for 10 12 sec, causing your single target spells to also strike the Havoc victim for 60% of normal initial damage.
PvP Talents
Call Felhunter cooldown changed to 30 seconds (was 24 seconds).
Warrior
Warriors have been reworked on the Dragonflight Alpha. Many abilities that were specialization-specific now moved to the Warrior class tree. Blizzard also introduced some new talents and changes for the class that we outline below.
Baseline
Battle-Scared Veteran (new talent) – When your health is brought below 35%, you take 100% less damage for until cancelled and healing you receive is increased by 100%. Cannot occur more than once every 60 sec sec.
Condemn – Generates 20 40 Rage.
Arms
Execute renamed to Improved Execute.
Defensive Stance cooldown reduced to 3 seconds (down from 6).
Fury
Improved Whirlwind – Whirlwind causes your next 2 single-target attacks to strike up to 4 additional targets for 45% damage. Whirlwind no longer costs Rage. Instead it generates 3 Rage, plus an additional 1 per target hit. Maximum 8 Rage.
Meat Cleaver – Whirlwind deals 25% 15% more damage and now affects your next 4 3 single-target melee attacks, instead of the next 2 attacks.
Protection
Shield Wall‘s now on a 3.5 min recharge (was 4).
Vanguard – Hardened by battle, all damage taken is reduced by 15%, your Stamina is increased by 45% 65% and your Armor is increased by 100% 140% of your Strength.
Thunder Clap Prot Hidden – Reduce the rage cost of Thunder Clap by 250 and Thunder Clap generates 50 rage.
Improved Shield Block removed.
New Warrior Talents
Warriors have been reworked and received the following new talents in Build 44895.
Battle Stance – TBD / WIP – A balanced combat state that increases the critical strike chance of your abilities by 3% and reduces the effectiveness of movement impairing effects on you by 15%.
Berserker Stance – TBD / WIP – An aggressive combat state that increases the damage of your auto- attacks by 5% and reduces the effectiveness of Fear, Sap and Incapacitate effects on you by 15%.
Defensive Stance – TBD / WIP – A defensive combat state that reduces all damage you take by 20%, and all damage you deal by 10%. Lasts until canceled.
Elysian Might – Spear of Bastion’s duration is increased by 4 sec. While you remain within Spear of Bastion’s area your critical strike damage is increased by 25%.
New Arms Warrior Talents
Improved Heroic Throw – Heroic Throw inflicts Deep Wounds.
Fracture – When Skullsplitter damages an opponent it causes your Deep Wounds and Rend effects to expire 200% faster.
Battlelord – Your Overpower has a 40% chance to reset the cooldown of Mortal Strike and reduce the Rage cost of your next Mortal Strike by 15.
Exploiter – Execute causes the target to take 50% more damage from your next Mortal Strike, stacking up to 2 times.
Unhinged – While Bladestorm is active, you automatically cast a total of 2 Mortal Strikes at random nearby enemies.
Battlelord – Your Overpower has a 40% chance to reset the cooldown of Mortal Strike and reduce the Rage cost of your next Mortal Strike by 15.
New Fury Warrior Talents
Wrath and Fury – Damage of Raging Blow increased by 10%.
Annihilator – Your auto attacks with one-handed weapons deal an additional [ 22.1% of Attack Power ] Physical damage.
Thunderous Roar – TEST – Roar explosively in a 16 yard frontal cone, causing 0 Physical damage and causing enemies to bleed for 0 physical damage over until cancelled sec.
New Protection Warrior Talents
Shield Charge – Charge to an enemy with your shield, dealing [ 200% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to it and [ 50% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to all enemies within 10 yards. Also stuns the primary target for 4 sec. Generates 20 Rage.
Improved Shield Charge – Not Implemented – Shield Charge grants you Shield Block for 4 sec, Revenge!, and generates 30 Rage.
Spiked Shield – Blocking an attack deals [ 20% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to the attacker.
Heavy Repercussions – Shield Slam generates 3 more Rage and extends the duration of Shield Block by 1.0 sec.
Spell Block – You are able to block spells cast against you for 14 sec.
Enduring Defenses – Shield Block lasts 2 sec longer.
Brace For Impact – Using Shield Slam increases your Block value by 10% and the damage of your Shield Slam by 10% for 9 sec. Multiple applications of this effect may overlap.
Improved Challenging Shout – Taunts all enemies within 12 yds to attack you for 6 sec and interrupts all spellcasting within 12 yds and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for 6 sec.
Champion’s Bulwark – Shield Charge grants you Shield Block for until cancelled , Revenge!, and generates an additional 300 Rage.
Seeing Red – Consuming 30 rage grants a stack of Seeing Red, which transforms at 1 stacks into Outburst, causing your next Shield Slam or Thunder Clap to be 200% more effective and grant Ignore Pain.
Outburst – Consuming 30 rage grants a stack of Seeing Red, which transforms at 1 stacks into Outburst, causing your next Shield Slam or Thunder Clap to be 200% more effective and grant Ignore Pain.
