The Headless Horseman encounter is getting updated in Patch 10.1.7 with a hard mode and upgradeable loot.
The hard mode revolves around 4 optional curses that you can pick at the start of the instance. The personal debuffs add an extra layer of difficulty to existing mechanics in the fight.
Kickin’ With the Wick is a brand new achievement you will receive when defeating the Headless Horesman while cursed by all four wicker men.
The loot isn’t affected in any way by the affixes currently on the 10.1.7 PTR. The loot you’ll get from the Headless Horseman starts at 402 item level and is upgradeable with the new gearing system.
